The shortlist for this year’s Bionow Awards has been announced, demonstrating the growth and development happening in the North of England in the life sciences sector.
Award
Bionow — a not-for-profit membership organisation that supports the life sciences sector across the North — will announce the winners at the end of the month (30 November) at the Mere Resort in Cheshire.
“This year’s awards demonstrate once again how the Northern life sciences are continuing to flourish,” said Geoff Davison, chief executive of Bionow. “We have a breadth of business, academic excellence, depth of expertise and investment in specialist infrastructure to rival anything that any other UK region can offer. The Bionow Awards recognise its successes and achievements and we look forward to celebrating on the night.”
Tom Renn, managing director of Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP), which sponsors the awards added: “R&D is always a tough place to be — it’s never easy to be first, and we welcome the opportunity to acknowledge the innovators who are making sure our region continues to be competitive and attractive. The health of the life science sector in the North is of vital importance to our region, but also the wider UK. MSP is immensely proud to support these awards, and the job they do in showcasing the world class science happening here.”
