F.P.S. Food and Pharma Systems is a leading company in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, food and cosmetic fields, developing, manufacturing and installing worldwide its own range of fine size reduction machines and containment solutions.
FPS was founded in 2002 by a group of professionals coming from various different international experiences in the pharmaceutical field as regards milling and containment.
Combining more than 40 years of experience, FPS team focused immediately on the needs of the pharma and chemical industries, designing and manufacturing equipments and devices that allowed compliance with user requirements with short delivery times and contained costs.
The company is structured in order to assure the required services with a quick reaction time, having in house engineering and manufacturing and relying on a net of different qualified suppliers for special needs.
"Since 2003 the company started creating a worldwide agents network in order to propose its products and service to any company": during the years this activity resulted in a presence throughout West and East Europe, North and South America and Asia.
In 2014 the production factory in Fiorenzuola d’Arda was re-modernised and expanded with a new test center equipped in order to execute short to medium duration micronization technical tests. This way we allow our Customers to check process validity for their needs.
FPS guarantees quality and support in all activities: consulting, engineering, manufacturing, testing, validation, maintenance and assistance are executed in accordance with cGMP requirements within an ISO9001 certified quality system.
FPS containment systems are specifically designed to meet the safety standards required by the specific needs of the end user and the regulatory authorities. FPS isolators are engineered around the process to be protected/contained. A Quality by Design approach means that specific needs are identified and the equipment designed accordingly.
We can design our barrier containment units for many chemical and pharmaceutical operations for environment/operator protection as well as for sterile applications, including:
- powder charging
- powder drying
- sampling activities
- powder grinding and jet milling
- powder and liquid filling
- tabletting
- dispensing
- final discharge and packing
- in-process controlling and recording
FPS also offers pack-off stations, dispensing booths and Laminar Air Flow units for any specific process and protection need.
The test center installed by FPS is equipped in order to execute short to medium duration micronization technical tests. This way we allow our Customers to check process validity for their needs. Special configuration of micronization equipment could be arranged for dedicated testing (nozzles, classifiers, Venturi, cyclone filters....).
The availability of a controlled contamination room ISO8 - if required - allows product and operator protection. Safety devices and interlocks for operations under controlled Nitrogen atmosphere.
As an alternative, it is possible to execute test at our Customers premises. This is desirable when particular process conditions need to be met. We can rent the equipment and assure the necessary technical support. FPS Glovebox is also available for inert or toxic testing.
